Railway Signal System

Overview

The ATC system executes that the train does not exceed the speed limit, and if it is faster than the allowable speed, it decelerates to below the allowable speed, and supports the opening and closing of the left and right doors of the train. This system operates by receiving speed commands and door commands from the track circuit.

The ATO system is a control and monitoring system for unmanned train operation and automatic operation. It receives the signal information necessary for ATO operation from the ground signal facility installed at a prescribed location on the track, and performs acceleration and braking as well as stopping at the correct position at the station without a train driver.

ATC

Characteristic

  • Constant speed operation control: It controls to maintain the allowable operation speed.
  • Deceleration Control: Train decelartion at sections where train deceleration is required due to the gradient between stations.
  • Stop at the right position: It is installed in front of the train so that the train can stop at the right position at the station.
  • Train Information Transmitting system (TWC): It is an information exchange system that performs two-way communication between vehicles and on-site facilities. It performs various functions required for automatic driving.
  • Door opening/closing: Upon receiving the location information through the TWC, the machine room transmits the door opening/closing information to the on-board system.
